Welcome to Comical-Musings. We are excited to be into the month of July and Comical-Musing's "Month of Independents." The Writer's Blok will be dropping fresh reviews and suggestions on you in a few days and I am terribly excited about what this month holds for your favorite blog. Our most read posts are still our Top 5's and today's should be right there with them in hits soon. Our Top 5's have always been and will always be taken from your suggestions. Joe Butler suggested Top 5 Overpowered Heroes and his wish has been granted. Here, we have collected some of the smuggest heroes to ever save the planet, just in time to be ridiculed. Enjoy!

Welcome to Comical-Musings for our last post of The Month of Hawkeye! We did it! A whole month of Hawkeye. The comic book that owns our final review is the most current of all of the books that we have reviewed/spotlighted. Blindspot is the latest offering from Jim McCann and if his books end up being a trilogy, it is the last. I was lost on Hawkeye and Mockingbird, I was renewed on Widowmaker, and I feasted on Blindspot.

Today, we take an unusual sidestep with our review. Not in the fact that we review something in a different way, but in the way that a different person occupies the purple boots of June's celebrated hero. I found myself shocked and occasionally awed by the sharp contrast.

Welcome back to the Month Of Hawkeye here at Comical-Musings. That's right, we are focusing on a super-hero that is oft-forgotten, but worthy of praise all month. I am talking, of course, about Clint Barton or, Hawkeye. A regular guy who shoots a bow and arrow with such precision and accuracy that it puts him toe-to-toe with the other Avengers. I am so glad to have you reading along with us and today I have a special treat for you.

Second time's a charm...or so they say. Welcome to Comical-Musings and today instead of typing words, it seems that today, I will be eating them. Although I love Jim McCann and am reading his critically acclaimed and visually stunning graphic novel, The Return of The Dapper Men with bated breath, I wasn't too keen on his Hawkeye and Mockingbird series. The review I wrote was in no way meant to be rude or critical, I just couldn't get down with the spy stuff. Since then, I have listened (and shared with you) many interviews with him and have found out some different things about him and some of the deep thinking about the characters and their situations. I don't know if it was getting to know the author's personality more or what, but after reading his follow up tale, "Widowmaker," it seems that if you shove a square peg into a round hole long enough, it will fit.

Welcome back to Comical-Musings! I am always appreciative when you take the time to read my ramblings. I am so excited that "The Month of Hawkeye" is in full swing. I feel that by the time the month is over, we will have effectively payed homage to one of Stan Lee's most beloved creations. Hawkeye has been through so many different things in his life. He has been married, he has been the leader of the West Coast Avengers, he has even died and come back from death. It is this enigmatic character that we gladly bestow most of the posts in June to.

Good morning and welcome to Comical-Musings! We are having a great day here at the blog and hope that you are too. We are knee deep in the Month of Hawkeye and are happy to have you reading along. I am trying to pump out great content for you as often as possible as I notice that "when I build it, you come." In the interest of working to pour out a surplus of thoughts, opinions, surprises, and entertainment on you, I am working to get some guest contributors to feature on the blog. These are some of my best friends and unabashed fans of the industry. We should get some gloriously different perspective on some different comics through the eyes of these co-conspirators, so look for that content to be added soon. While I have you today, I offer a podcast from Ifanboy.com featuring Jim McCann, the author of the book that we will be featuring on Monday...Hawkeye and Mockingbird! Just click the link below, then listen and enjoy.

Welcome to the first post of the Month of Hawkeye. I am trying to give more than a three dimensional view of the character this month as I feature different looks at Hawkeye from different series that he has been a part of. I really want to give this fan-favorite the star treatment that he deserves, so keep up with the blog this month for all Hawkeye all of the time! Here we go:
